The Bag Whisperer: The Royal Handbag

Queen Elizabeth II has been wearing handbags by the famous English brand Launer. She started wearing Launer as a young woman already, and she has stayed true to the brand til this day. So it's no wonder that there are nearly 200 different Launer bags in her wardrobe.  The Queen's love story with the brand Launer began in 1968 when designer Sam Launer sent her one handbag as a present. Unlikely that Launer would have believed at the time that his Queen and his handbags will have such a long relationship. 

The fact that the Queen has been wearing those handbags since 1968 means that Launer can rightly call them a royal choice. The Queen likes to wear a handbag called Traviata that costs 1800 euros. Talking abour prices - Launer bags start at 700 and go up to 22 400 euros. All depends on the material used, of course.   There has been a lot of talk about what the Queen likes to have in her handbag. Apparently there is a little collection of talismans she has gotten as a present from children, for example miniature dogs and horses. There are also reading glasses, fountain pens, and fresh mints. There is also a place for a lipstick in her handbag, and it's known that the Queen prefers Clarins. 

By the way, the Queen and her handbag are quite unseparable. The reason is that the Queen sends different signals to her staff with it. When she puts the handbag on the table, it means she wants to leave the event in five minutes. When she puts the handbag on the floor when she is sitting at a table, it means she wants to get rid of her conversation partner immediately, and the Queen has to be 'saved'. There are other signals. When the Queen moves the bag from the right hand to the left, it means that she wants to move on in the crowd or during the event and speak to the next person.
